A scanned page is really a photo, so normal PDF editors can't touch its words. PDFLegit PRO reads the text on the scan and lets you replace words, erase content and remove images — free in Kenya.
Press Read text. The first use downloads about 10 MB of recognition data; after that it's instant.
The words found on the scan become clickable, just like a normal PDF.
Replace a wrong word
Click the word on the scan.
Type the correction — the original is covered and your wording is placed on top, matching the size of the surrounding text.
Save. In the downloaded file the original word is permanently removed, not just hidden.
Erase content or remove images
Erase content lets you drag over any part of the scan — a stamp, a signature, a smudge — and remove it permanently.
Pointing at an image or barcode shows a red box; tap it to delete or replace it. On a fully scanned page the whole page is one image, so use Erase content for parts of it.
Tips for best results
Scan or photograph the page straight-on, in good light.
Handwriting and very blurry scans may be misread — check the suggested words before replacing.

PDF tools in Kenya
PDFLegit PRO is built for Kenya: a free PDF editor that works in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and anywhere else — right in your browser, even on a phone. The free plan includes 3 tasks a day, and Pro is priced in Kenyan shillings (KSh 650 for 7 days, KSh 900 a month, KSh 6,500 a year) with M-Pesa and card payment. Because every file is processed on your own device, it works well on mobile data and keeps sensitive documents — contracts, IDs, business forms — private.
